Guernica: Why do you live in the West Bank?

Amira Hass: If I were asked to cover Canada, would I live in Mexico?

Guernica: But you’re very different—

Amira Hass: Why?

Guernica: Because no other Israeli journalist lives there.

Amira Hass: So ask them why they don’t live there. Why ask me?
